I build software systems and engineering organizations for products where reliability, integrations, payments, data flow, and operational clarity matter. My work has ranged from hands-on product engineering to leading distributed engineering teams and shaping the architecture around systems that have to keep working when external services, customers, and business requirements do not behave as the happy path assumes.
I write because engineering decisions become more useful when their tradeoffs are explicit. The articles on this site cover system design, integration boundaries, financial infrastructure, technical debt, engineering leadership, AI-enabled product development, and the feedback loops that help teams learn. The aim is not to present tidy theory. It is to document patterns that survive contact with production systems and real organizations.
